Home made treats
Your pups and dogs will enjoy having home made treats and you will never have to worry about a recall on your home made treats.
Cheese Bone Cookies

2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/4 cup cheese(any kind) shredded
2 garlic cloves(minced)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 tbsp water

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine flour, cheese, garlic and oil. Knead well.
Add water, if needed to form stiff dough.
Roll out on floured surface to 1/2" thick, cut into fun shapes. Place on ungreased
cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until bottoms are lightly brown.
Cool on wire rack. Refrigerate in zip lock bag or airtight container.

Sunshine Bait

1 lb finely ground raw liver
1 cup flour
1/2 cup corn meal
1 to 3 tbsp garlic salt

Mix all together and spread on a lightly greased piece of tin foil sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
When done peel off tin foil and break into pieces to fit your pup/dogs
size. Freeze in packages. Great for cool summer treats.

Dried Beef Liver (great for training)

1 lb beef liver
Garlic powder 1 - 3 tbsp
1 large pot boiling water

Rinse beef liver well in cool water.
Place beef liver in boiling water, add Garlic powder to water.
Allow enough room in pot to prevent boiling over with water.
Cook for at least 1/2 to 3/4 hours or until cooked well.
Let cool then cut into 1/2"  cubes. Spread on a foil lined cookie
sheet. Bake at 250 degree for 2 hours or until dry to the touch.
Liver will shrunk to about 1/4" cubes when done.
Liver is very dry when done and can be stored in the freezer in zip
lock bag. The liver treats will not stain your clothing and you can keep
it in a small bag or your pocket for training.

Hot Dog Treats

1lb Turkey or chicken hot dogs

Cut into 1/2 to 1/8" slices.
Spread paper towels on micro-wave able plate. Place hot
dog so they don't overlap each other. Microwave on
medium for 3 minutes until the slices are small and
fairly dry. Place in zip lock bags and freeze. Great for
training.

Weight gain treats

1lb hamburger
1 package cream cheese
1 dozen eggs yolks
1 jar all natural peanut butter
1 cup rolled oats soaked in milk
1 jar wheat germ

Mix all together and shape into balls then
freeze in zip lock bags what you are not
going to use that day.
You can use turkey instead of  hamburger
if you would like to.

Satin Balls  ( will put weight on your dog quickly)

10 lbs hamburger meat
1 jar wheat germ
1 large box of oatmeal(uncooked)
1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
10 eggs
10 small packages unflavored gelatin
1 1/4 cup unflavored molasses
pinch of salt
1 large total cereal(2lbs)
pinch of garlic

mix all together well into a meatloaf, cut into
sizes for your dog then freeze. Thaw as you
need to put weight on you dog. This will also
add gloss to their coat. You can feed alone or
with their food.
