I am sure there are things that I have forgot to tell you. But my goal is to give you as much information on reproduction and whelping using plan language. I feel we are breeders not scientists.
Did I tell you pups are born 63 days after ovulation?
Most of use want to learn because we have had a bad experience with canine reproduction or whelping. Some of use have had missed litters, a dead litter, a drive to a emergency clinic at 3 a.m. Some may have even lived so far from the vet and had to watch your puppies and sometimes your bitch die. I hope that this information will put to rest some of the old breeders myths that have been around for years. I wanted to make sure for breeders that have never had a bitch in for a c-section to have information just in case you are faced with one. I hope that I may have help you and your breeding program.

I know that there are breeders out there who have fed a raw diet, supplemented with tons of calcium and never had to have a c-section. They will never believe the information I have given you. But then there are people out there that smoked 4 packs of cigs a day for 60 years and never developed COPD or lung cancer too, but they are the exception to the rule.
